BLACKPINK Wins New Artist Award at Melon Music Awards

BLACKPINK was named as the winner of the New Artist Award at the Melon Music Awards.

On November 19, the 2016 Melon Music Awards took place at the Gochuck Sky Dome, Seoul, and BLACKPINK won the New Artist category.

ROSÉ thanked YG staff and said, “It’s an honor to receive such a prestigious award.”

She then thanked her family and said, “We like to thank our fans for their love and support. We’ll work hard to become better at what we’re doing.”



The Melon Music Awards has been held eight times, and the awardees are chosen based on the data of the Melon music website and online votes. The theme of this year’s ceremony was “Music for U, Melon for U”.
